 Posted: Post subject: a punk travels to new york |

my wife and i are planning a trip to nyc in a few months. basically i'm looking for any advice from punk rockers as to what sights we should see. record stores, cheap food, or just general info about what to see and do in new york. thanks for your help.

dont bother even going, the only good thing about NYC left(CBGB) gave up and left town, i suppose you could go see Tom's Diner on 112th and Broadway(the outside is the establishing shot they used for the coffee shop on Seinfeld) but unless you want to pay 90 bucks a person to wait in line for 2 hours to go up to the top of the empire state building, its pretty much yea...a friend of mine told me of a place known as C-Squat, after I got back from NYC where punks go to squat basically and rest. Apparently it is very dangerous so maybe not the place you want to stay, being an out of towner.

theres a great record store here on long island i go to a lot...Mr. Cheapos....other than that sight seeings not relaly anything i do here...maybe its just cause i live here and everything seems boring to me...regardless have fun with your trip and i wish you the best of luck.
